For People Who Are “Outside The Norm”
Therapy Globe is a NYC based private psychotherapy practice that specializes in serving the needs of ‘multi-identitied’ people (expats, global nomads, children of immigrants, cross-cultural couples etc). We help people who can relate to the experience of “otherness” achieve long-lasting psychological wellness on their own terms.
…be fully seen, accurately understood & unconditionally accepted as you are!
“Finding a therapist can be very difficult but you found us!”
EASE EMOTIONAL PAIN
Therapy can relieve symptoms of sadness, anxiety, fear, social anxiety, loneliness & shame that can feel overwhelming. Therapy can increase feelings of happiness, satisfaction and confidence.
IMPROVE EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING
Things don’t have to be ‘bad’ for therapy to benefit you. Just like eating healthy or exercising can improve overall physical well-being, working with a therapist can improve overall emotional and psychological well-being.
BUILD COPING SKILLS
Therapy can help you gain control over your feelings & reactions so that you feel confident and can better manage whatever life throws at you.
HANDLE LIFE TRANSITIONS
Therapy can help if you are facing a breakup, divorce, a death in the family or other life-changing event. These transitions are hard enough. Therapy can help you heal the past, live in the present and create a better future.
IMPROVE RELATIONSHIPS
Therapy can help you build communication and coping skills that will decrease conflict and improve relationships with partners, family, friends and co-workers.
REMOVE BLOCKS & HEAL TRAUMA
Therapy can help you work through a traumatic experience from your past that may be holding you back.
IF SO, WE CAN HELP
Together we will create a safe place to address issues that are holding you back from creating the life you want and assist you in a journey to be your own best version of yourself.
1. You contact me and we schedule your first FREE 15 minute phone consultation. We then decide if we can work together.
2. If we decide to work together, we talk and schedule your initial session.
3. During the Initial session, I ask informational questions so as to have a good understanding about your background/history and the issues you might want to discuss.
4. Subsequent sessions are spent building a safe space and exploring the concerns that hold you back.
5. At regular intervals I will check in with you about the process to ensure that we are on the same page, that you are feeling comfortable and that we are progressing towards your goals.
Our sessions are confidential. There are legal limits of confidentiality, namely, if you threaten to harm yourself, harm others and/or I am subpoenaed by a court. Your records and private information are protected according to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) regulations. I will provide you with all the relevant details when we meet in person.
Sessions are typically 45 minutes long and will normally be scheduled once a week at an available slot on my calendar. However, I sometimes tailor the frequency of treatment to suit my client’s needs. Due to COVID-19, all sessions are currently via video link on my HIPAA compliant platform.
Individual Session Rate is $300 per session.
I also offer an initial 15 minute free consultation.
Payments are accepted by credit card.
We provide you with monthly superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement as per your “out-of-network” benefits.
